Probably a very silly question here, but I thought the elemental resists on armor were only for resists to yourself. They don't affect the potency of that type of magic that you might cast, correct? For instance, if the piece of armor shows +3 to Dark (Night Cape), that's not going to help when casting a drain or aspir spell on a mob, correct?

If Elemental Resistances granted magic accuracy or potency for RDM (or even for BLM), it would be a very sad day for our Inventory space. As it is, try-hard RDMs can barely find space to lot a Dark Crystal or a gear drop =p
