Whats up with desynthing after the "Security" Maintenance?
4 Successful Desynths out of 12?
8 Critical Breaks?
all on a T3 synth....

Maybe its just my -20% bad luck

That's the smallest sample size in the history of ffxi. People do thousands if not more synth. What was the moon phase/day of week?

Not to mention retail had a higher break rate for desynths than regular synths. It does seem higher than retail rates here though.

This has nothing to do with test sample size... or retail anything.
I'm just posting this is hopes that maybe nas sees and looks into it...
Just now i desynthed 24 Gigas Socks, came out with 4 stacks of wool...
when on average 12 socks would give me 3-4stacks
I have desynthed well over 100 gigas socks, since this Security Maintenance, just by my own observations, I can tell you that something was changed.
weather it is to slow down the mythril pick NPC, or maybe just because of a mistake in coding.
Nas doesn't tend to let everyone know what was changed.
Maybe other people are experiencing something different as well

Okay, you're about 2% of the way to a sufficient data set to be able to somewhat accurately pinpoint if changes were made. You had a bad string, come back to us when you've had 10 in a row.

Done a few hundred synthes so far at different tiers and different day/moon phase scenarios. Anything but tier 3 has gone to around 50 percent crit fail rate. Total fail rate a little higher. On the tier 3 stuff I’ve done the fail rate has been around 1/3.
