So get the botters and not nerf the craft? Granted, I'm just 100% salty because I spent 9 months crafting to find an efficient way to make some gil that -isn't- fishing, and desynthing in smithing is a fairly significant means of getting base materials (iron, steel, darksteel off of beastmen drops). Are there other ways to make gil with smithing still? Sure, but sliding in a nerf unnanounced to something that existed just fine in retail is enough to complain a bit about.

Back to mining, and not buying desynth mats anymore from the looks of it =\

not a big crafter but have been crafting 50% success on gold orc masks which is lower. usually expect 2 breaks per stack but its about 6 breaks now

its acting fine all the other trends this long term trend are acting static as well, as always.



purp desynth break seems to be u forcing non desynth purp to hq3 this week. i think always but maybe not all breaks but most t1+

I noticed a weird trend in the past couple weeks with desynthesis. Below are my mythril earring desynthesis results - my GSM is level 56 and most, if not all, of these desynths are done on lightning/lightsday.



I also tried desynthing goblin armour the other day and had 8 breaks in 9 straight attempts - my CC is lvl 53. In total, I ended up with exactly 50 cotton thread after starting with 25 goblin armour @ 44 levels above cap.

In my opinion, something has been tweaked or altered in regards to desynthesis.

That has been my experience with quadav backplates. Just didn't have a screenshot to share. Just hits making gil in a lot of ways. I may be breaking backplates now but i farmed them and other beastmen mats for gil when I was just starting. I don't think anyone will be buying these aside from skilling up off them now.

Way overtuned, imo.

GSM 57 here, only tried a dozen mythril earrings, but got all of a single ingot for the effort Someone mentioned to me that their break rates went way down facing SW instead of S, but trying random one-off junk didn't seem to matter w/ direction for me.. but my sample size is small enough to be basically useless. Anyone care to blow a few mil on thousands of synths to re-prove that the crafting compass still doesn't matter? lol
