Eh, Ive definitely seen you do 6 man dynamis bubus, in the last few months, and that counts as farming currency. But sure, maybe you didnt sell those pieces to help fund your destruction of the staff market. I apologize if I was incorrect before.
I've never 6-manned bubu aside from once for the win. As for the market, it's economics. We can all collaborate and share sales at 50% profit margin, or we can have a knife fight in a phone booth until we're stuck sharing sales at 5%. I opened doors of communication to all active sellers when I hit 106, nobody aside from Camper replied at all--including yourself.
I apologize for the bubu comments then. Everytime you entered the staff market, you raised the price on ore and undercut the price on staves. You had a chance to match prices in bazaars, but chose not to. After you had started a price war, you then began offering the miners more than the AH for ore, causing the supply of ore to exceed the demand for staves. Then you thought it would be a good idea to list multiple staves in your bazaar, prompting others to have to do the same. I dont really agree with crafters colluding in tells and price fixing, like you and camper were doing, so Im never going to respond to those "collaboration" tells. It's simple to change a price in your bazaar, and if everytime you do it, it's slightly lower than mine, then the market will be crashed.
There's like a hundred small things wrong with this.
"Everytime you entered the staff market."
I'm not sure what you mean by that, I've had staffs stocked 95% of the time since I hit 106, so I've only... entered... once. As for raising price on ores, no. I've made a very conscious effort to not push ore prices up, anytime I do it's only when there's 10-20+ ores listed above current prices, the ROI spread has room for it, and even then it's a 5-10k push.
"You had a chance to match prices in bazaars, but chose not to."
Um, no, when I first entered most sellers systematically undercut me, and so I did the same, as is the only way to get any sales. For a good 3 months now we've all been mostly matching eachother to a tee.
"... you then began offering the miners more than the AH for ore, causing the supply of ore to exceed the demand for staves."
Which is perfectly fine in a market where there are only 4 active people who can make staffs, should they talk and exercise a little self-control. In fact it would be a good thing, no longer bottlenecking sales by material supply but rather by the number of buyers around.
"Then you thought it would be a good idea to list multiple staves in your bazaar, prompting others to have to do the same."
Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't see how this affects anything, or why me listing multiple would make others want to. I was making sure I had a night's worth of staffs stocked when I went to sleep, seems reasonable.
"I dont really agree with crafters colluding in tells and price fixing, like you and camper were doing, so Im never going to respond to those "collaboration" tells."
This is kinda cute, because here you're clearly trying to take some sort of moral high ground while the whole reason you're upset with me is because you're not profiting enough from selling staffs to players. You can either take the 'profiting is a given' angle or 'profiting is wrong' angle, but you don't get to have it both ways.
"It's simple to change a price in your bazaar, and if everytime you do it, it's slightly lower than mine, then the market will be crashed."
There are 2 instances when I lower prices in my bazaar below others. 1) When they've just done the same to me. 2) When the AH prices have been undercut enough that the bazaar listing is now higher than the auction house listing. Both of these seem reasonable to me.
Anything else I can clear up?
