Levelsync restrictions is the most asinine thing to have on a private server with limited population. It is the single reason why I only had blm leveled for the longest time. Even then, I simply cured merit pts on my whm to 75 (which was already 52 before the restrictions were implemented) because it was easier and faster to take the huge xp hit than try to heck around with this sync shit. This is the same story with my brd.
I 1000000% agree. I never understood why private servers would take this route. The argument is always "we don't want people to get 10-75 in the dunes". Who cares if someone wants to level that way? As far as I remember, it was possible to do that on retail. Most people just didn't because it meant you'd have to spend extra time later leveling up your skills. But this is a private server with a limited population in comparison to Retail. Even with the server recently peaking at 600+, that number is only during prime time and is still nothing compared to the original server numbers during the era of this server. On top of that, there is only so many camps available in the dunes to begin with. If you wanted to party there and the camps were already taken, you'd either have to force yourself onto another party's camping ground which would half your EXP gain, or move to another zone.
My personal opinion is Level Sync restrictions shouldn't exist at all, especially since they didn't exist on retail.

Where someone hits 75 is irrelevant. Sucky players are going to suck at their job regardless of where or how they level.

I agree though, with ~350-400 unique players on at peak times and rising, the Dunes are going to be cramped without some sort of restriction.
I can see the frustration of spending a bunch of time getting a party started only for it to fail because the sync range changed on you though.
Exactly.
