If dual boxing truly offers no advantage in NM camping then why do people do it. Seems the people defending it know it's an advantage they're just salty about losing it
The original poster argued that it offers an advantage at claiming NMs. This is a separate from arguing it offers no advantage.
It can help kill things, it can give you TH if you main doesn't have it, it can let you mule items, etc. It doesn't help you claim things.
I do not dual box. I do not have an alt. I doubt I will ever have the time to level one. I've not camped NMs anywhere near as extensively as plenty of others, as I've only been here for half a year, and half of that time I wasn't playing due to work. But I do have over 100 claims on NMs, and over a 90% claim rate while camping. And I've seen plenty of people attempt to dual box for claim advantages, and it's universally been people I have zero issue beating.
I'm somewhat confused by a handful of people brand new to the server suddenly petitioning to have the rules changed. If Nasomi does not seem to fit the vision of how you want to play the game, perhaps you should find somewhere that does? Let's say that dualboxing gave you a 100% claimrate on everything you ever wanted, but the rules allowed it because it fit the vision of the person running the server and the community that had come to surround it - why would someone who has just shown up expect that their voice should be listened to over everyone else? This same argument could be made about inventory management, or power leveling, or whatever, where being able to dual box and mule does make a major difference, but... who cares? It's not your server.
