OP's offer is laughable at best. That said, As I recall, some sap guy that's in TS offered the same thing for a KC not long ago. Naturally, TS members were up in arms (like what I did there?) backing up his offer when it was ridiculed similar to this. Love the hypocrisy.

That said, the offer is still dong so long as dyna bubu continues to showers currency and some other dreamlands remain free.

The discussion was significantly more on-topic than his post.

Is my offer low? Yes. Did I buy expensive stuff by offering low amounts before? Yes.

I'm referring to the fact you clearly have no clue about either a) value of a KC right now b) limited amount of buyers. If it was that good of a deal or my offer was highway robbery, it would have sold already.

Your boyz over at RFK forgot that people tend to talk and the fact that they are shopping it around with ever-changing offers and asking someone if he would take it for 44.5M is not a good look. It makes people believe that other offers are not at 45. Maybe they can ask Locke about how to run a smooth sale process.

All of this may be true, but just because the only offer they have is 45m does NOT mean the value of the item is @45m. I don't know why you crafters seem to think that the sale process of a big item like this is any different than your own big sales. How many times are the only offers you currently have for a big ticket item, half of what you eventually end up selling them for? Just because the Kraken hasn't sold does not mean the current price being asked is ridiculous. Buyers need time to make gil, to liquidate, to mull over the idea of spending that much.

Also I don't know what secrets you guys have about the KC economy but I'm pretty sure the spawn time of LoO was fixed to not spawn before his minimum spawn time anymore, which is a huge dent in the KC market.

and then we were told that Nas was randomly just creating a r/e version of it out of... boredom, I assume.

an item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Sellers should get as much gil as they can... but I'm struggling to find a reason why a buyer should be offering substantially more than the best current offer.

Search Lower Jeuno, check out all of the -1 Cursed items still in bazaar that havent sold in months? Why does every rich crafter seem to not share the opinion of that last comment, and what they're apparently spewing here? I can name over two dozen cursed items that havent sold in months, should all of them have taken the offers that have been given them?

I can't speak for everyone. It obviously depends on whether you are a motivated seller. A group selling a KC is probably more interested in liquidating it for the gil then a crafter.

Not to mention, crafting has a cost that goes into the price. If you make a 300k synth, and the HQ chance is 5%... It's fairly simple to determine what the minimum you should sell an item for, at least. Time invested, like doing OWNMs, doesn't have a quantifiable cost.

I get the comparison, but it's not as neat as people would like to believe.

Again.. I think you, as a seller, gets to determine what cost you're willing to accept and how long you're willing to wait to get that price.. and what the relation is between those, and when one of them changes.

That's just entirely independent of the buyer's same decisions that go into a transaction. It's basically the basics of the economic system we have. When we're talking about these super expensive items though, the pool of prospective buyers is finite... so just writing off someone that is willing to pay more than 99% of people in the game for an item? It's a negotiation.

I'd give more validity to half of these offers/conversations if I didn't feel they were entirely made up to undermine the prices of these items because certain people know they'll only ever be in the position of buying said item, never selling them. (I have confirmation that this is being done by some.) I don't take offense to the offers if they're legit, and I don't wanna step on people's toes who genuinely think the offer their making is valid. I'm also not dumb and can tell the difference between the two.

I don't mean to shit on Camper's offer either, or ruin his chances of getting a cheaper one somewhere out there. I do feel like I have a vested offer in the price of this item tho, so I will defend it with arguments that I deem to be valid. To compare a similar situation where Im in the opposite scenario, I've been waiting for Jemima to lower the price of their Cap -1, or even answer one of my offers. They haven't. Should I be all up in arms that they're not taking what I deem to be a legit offer? Maybe. Does it matter? No.

I agree with you. Only issue so far has been Mello chiming in on something unrelated to him. The rest was done in good fun.
