haha my hatred for the LS Bank was well documented. I picked up immediately every time something sold because of it. You don't need a bank to distribute gil.. Each time a group runs, one person in the group could just be responsible for selling/distributing afterwards.

Great example of why no bank system is good. I’d give you guys credit that you have a better system than any other I’ve seen. But it’s still a system where one person takes 5% of everything for simply handling sales that the groups could’ve handled themselves. You can’t possibly have a real track on all the items you guys farm and there’s no way to track private sales. I know for sure because there was absolutely things I never got paid out on. I never cared. I don’t hang out with y’all to make money. I honestly just enjoy ownms and never get a chance to do em anymore. Just my opinion on banks in general.

EDIT: Oh, and according to the spreadsheets, the last time RFK's bank took a sales commission was December 2018.

We've done pretty well. Some stuff slips through the cracks, but I think without a centralized bank there would be far more in the wind.

I certainly keep track of making sure stuff I was in on ends up on the spreadsheet. If I never pick up payment after that, it's on me ;D

Centralizing the OWNM sales was done for two reasons. One reason was to serialize the sales postings. This is what Wolff doesn't like, because it conceals RFK's inventory numbers from anyone without access to the spreadsheet. The other reason was to prevent LS members from competing against each other at the AH. It is designed so that there's only one person selling, so we don't have to worry about undercutting ourselves.

RFK's bank belongs to its members. We have a tremendously detailed spreadsheet that accounts for every gil, and we have been getting better at recordkeeping our chains of custody regarding the drops. We are missing a few sorcerer's rings, I believe, that are probably on characters that haven't logged on in a while. And we definitely lost a sizeable number of items when Zera got hacked. But we hold gil as long as we can. Strilibi still has 3m waiting for him if he ever bothers to take it. I think we do pretty damn well.

I mean this sincerely, and genuinely, and not to troll: I have no idea how to get the gil you say I have in the bank. No idea who controls the bank, no idea who the bank is, and I actually don't think I have the latest spreadsheet lol.

I'll hop in the LS next time, because this isn't a forum related thing... and my hatred for LS banks is 15 years old, and unrelated to RFK, so it wasn't really a knock on you guys. At least you track it fairly well, and allow people to pick-up the gil. Most LS banks are not to control payments back to the LS for things they farm, but rather to fund other things.. which, as Aeroo pointed out, is just a gigantic gift to the leader when they want it.
