So the safe bet is to show up /nin, cause the mitigation means less to hopefully none of those annoying "/p MP = <mp> <mpp> " out of mana macros.


thanks for explaining how broken the game is.

I don't have first hand experience but i have been listening. Ninja is not a class it is one god damned power. Might as well call it /blink.

if the Job is so cheap as to be required for one spell, then it really isn't a job. It's a placeholder for a single power that makes it impossible to subjob something else. The reason why many jobs that have a similar "make it or break it" power was put out of reach of the sub job. If Ninja blink was a level 38 power then that would be consistent with every other class.

Lets give Rdm, mp refresh at 37 and see what happens.

sure. But it is for those other reasons that it should be considered and not for a 100% blink that casts faster then every other blink. That is inexplicably given before level 38.

Nah, that was an unintended consequence by SE when they released Ninja. It was seen as a throwing/hybrid DD. It was the playerbase at the time who saw exactly what Utsusemi offered and turned it into a tank and the way to "play the game". SE nerfed Utsusemi(used to take 1 shadow per -ga magic/AoE debuff) but the playerbase persisted as the ability to 100% evade that Double Attack from Nidhogg was far greater than anything /WAR or others could offer. We used to Aerial Armor rotation our PLD/WARs before /NIN caught on. SE then started balancing things around Utsusemi(go try to straight tank AV or Wyrms without PLD/NIN or NIN/DRK and tell me how it goes). It wasn't until 2H update and Seigan/Hasso introduction that SAM started seeing more than niche/fun use as a subjob.

This all goes back to survivability and that's the tradeoff you get with /NIN. Lot's of survivability and Dual Wield, no other offensive stats.

First and only time responding to you until you say something that actually makes sense.

And why ninja? It was largely believed back in 2005 to be the OP job and should not have been introduced because it broke the game balance and made other tanks useless.

It was a broken job then and it is now. The game is not meant to be made easier by this job.

It is obvious a 100% blink with many images before level 38 is broken, wake up. I propose another fix, remove the spell for low level ninja and only allow the high level blink at level 38. You still get your blink tank but it must be a main job. Very extremely easy adjustments for Nasomi.

A proper restoration of the game to 2005 is not complete without the controversy that was caused by the ninja classes existence at the time. Hence why blink magic items were introduced in the first place.
