I talked to Nabutso about this rule when I was a newb. He said that it is worded poorly and that it should not be read as forbidding dual-keyboarding dualbox setups with two physical computers. Of course Nab isn't Nas, so here we are, waiting for stories.
Nabutso is incorrect on that point. As someone who used to sync cast with two physical keyboards, I can assure you the verbage of the rule is meant to encompass that scenario. I believe, by extension, macro waits would be included in the rule as well for the simple reason: there's no functional difference in the end-effect and no way to tell the various methods apart.
Now pressing your convert macro on your rdm and healing it on a dual box char at the same time the automatic cure fires on the rdm isn't going to get you jailed in practice, in the same way going 1mph over the speed limit isn't going to get you pulled over in practice. On paper, the rule is just written so nas doesn't have to argue minutiae with someone who looks like they're using a 3rd party app and syncing tons of actions.
I mean, if all actions are logged, and Nas claims they are, you should be able to see if things were sent at the exact same time or not.
Even someone dual keyboarding is going to look quite a bit different than someone sending multiple commands with the same keypress. Just like someone using a /wait 1 macro and then counting to 1 to push the button on another character is not going to be going at the exact same time either.
I'm not Nas and he does enough things that make absolutely no sense to me that I can't claim to logic things here, but on the face of it, none of this particularly makes much sense.
